Chronic illnesses put a huge strain on the body. It's working to fight off pathogens with your immune system, and at the same time give you the calories your body needs to survive. Treatment hasn't been nearly as easy breezy as I had expected. I'm really not sure where I got the idea that it would be simple, but I think my positive thinking talked my subconscious in to it. The current goal is to somehow raise my weight up to a stable place & then I can worry about resuming treatment. The last thing I need right now is a feeding tube I can guarantee you that.
The catch here is I can't eat gluten, sugar, caffeine, & limited dairy. Oh & no fried foods either. Hmm... I always wondered when someone would develop a pill to slow down your metabolism. We have about 200 products out there to speed it up.
Anyways that's what's currently happening, I'm certainly hoping my next post isn't somewhere in a hospital bed. Yuck. Wish me luck!
Xoxo
